Mija Sangria Review 

We were so excited to try the Mija (Mee-ha) Sangria @mijasangria in both the red and white wine blends. What a surprise it was to see that it is produced and brewed in our hometown, New York!

First up came the white wine blend. The packaging is flirty and fun, very señorita 💃🏻 yay! It comes sealed with a metal bottle cap, much like what you would find on a beer bottle. What was most interesting though, is that there is an attached flip top to re-seal the bottle to save for later! How clever. 🤓💡 The bottle instructs you to shake well before serving, so shake shake shake we did. After pouring a generous serving into our glasses we took a good sniff. Smells like pineapple, wow lots of pineapple, yum 🍍🍍🍍 also notes of floral. We took a sip, initial thoughts were sweet, with a tart kick at the end. We found it to be a tad thick so we poured it over ice, perfect 👌🏻 then we mixed it with 90+ Cellars prosecco to create a sparkling Mija-Mosa. This was delicious. What a treat to sip on during a hot summer day. Pair with some light tapas or seafood. 

Next we tried the red blend. ❤️ This one has the same convenient packaging. Our next statement may seem obvious but it has a very strong scent of red grape! Also hints of grapefruit and mango.  When we went to drink it we were surprised to discover that it wasn’t actually that sweet, more so tart and spicy. It’s pretty light for a red blend though. Again it was better served over ice ❄️ and EVEN BETTER when mixed with the sparkling wine. 

Overall we give Mija 2 thumbs up!! 👍🏻👍🏻🍷
