Muga Rosé 2016 Review

Since 1932 the Spanish wine producer Muga has been crafting exceptional fine wines in the Rioja region of Spain. Rioja mostly produces red wines which frequently use oak barrels in the production.
This excellent Rosé is crafted in a similar fashion. The Oaked barrels add complexity to this wine. The wine is aged less than 3 months. The blend is 60% Garnacha, 30% Viura and 10% Tempranillo. The wine is a salmon pink in color.
Beautiful aromas of cantaloupes and peach hit the nose with hints of sweetness. This is a delightfully dry wine with good acidity. Finishes with a mild spice, hint of white pepper. Enjoy this wine young, does not make friends well in your wine seller (joke).
This is a great rosé for all day, all week, even all year, particularly due to its mild element of spice. Enjoy this wine with fall favorites such as butternut, honey-nut squash and pumpkin.
